Be real!!

"Most people only live for their image. That is why where some have a self, a starting point, most people have a void. Because they are so busy projecting themselves as "this" or " that", they end up wasting and dissipating all their energy on expanding and broadening their potential or expressing and relaying this unified energy for efficient communication. When another human being sees a self-actualizing person walk past, he cannot help but say: "Hey now, there is someone real!"

Dedication!!

"Dedication, absolute dedication, is what keeps one ahead. A sort of indomitable obsessive dedication and realization that there's no end or limit because life is an ever-growing process, and ever renewing process."

WOD

"You have to train. You have to keep your athletic ability so that when you want it---its there. When you want to move---you are moving. And when you move, you are determined to move!!! Not accepting even one inch less than that. So this is the type of thing you have to train yourself into. To become one with your training so that, when you think---it is!!!"....Get some!!

Force of nature!!

"I feel I have this great creative and spiritual force within me that is greater than faith, greater than ambition, greater than confidence, greater than determination, greater than vision. Its all of these combined. . . . Wheather it is the godhead or not, I feel this great force, this untapped power, this dynamic something within me. This feeling defies description, and there is no experience with which this feeling may be compared. It is something like a strong emotion mixed with faith, but a lot stronger.."

Pushing YOUR limits????

Im really interested in that point you reach when you actually fail from exhaustion at something, whether it's weight training or cardiovascular exercise. I'm interested in seeing just how much of that is a physical point and how much of it is a mental point. When you reach that point where you say, " oh that's it! I can't do another one," if you actually challenge yourself with something like "All right, there's a man standing with a gun to your mothers head, and he says, "if you do one more" of whatever it is you're doing--say, jump rope for one more minute---"i wont pull the trigger, otherwise i will"---see if you can do it!! You've got to try and challenge yourself this way. I find that you have to make it into a game at some level on order to continue doing whatever it is that you're doing that's causing you so much discomfort!!
